Become a Volunteer

We are always looking for new ideas to help PBS reach its members and offer the best educational resources available. Most committees meet once a month, depending on projects, and are led by the committee chair.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Scholarship Committee is to provide a variety of fermented beverage and professional development educational scholarship opportunities by maintaining relationships with current partners as well as seeking additional programs and activities.

Roles Needed:

  • Application Reviewer/Judge : Review 10-20 scholarship applications every quarter. 

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The Membership Committee has responsibility to provide guidance and oversight for the development of various PBS membership activities. The Committee will coordinate with other Committees to participate in the various membership cycle stages. 

  • Review current benefits package and its alignment to current and target markets

  • Send annual survey to identified membership segments for input on current and potential services and benefits

  • Ensure membership is attractive and valuable for women and non-binary individuals in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industries

  • Encourage engagement in the Society’s membership and activities through Chapters and Organization events

DEIJ COMMITTEE

Pink Boots Society’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Committee has been established to ensure that:

    • The Organization’s DEIJ values are reflected across all committees, events, and operations

    • The Organization’s membership is diverse

    • Access to Membership, Member Resources, and Leadership opportunities is equitable

    • The Organization’s practices, policies, and procedures are Inclusive

    • Opportunities and Pathways to Justice for members who have been impacted by discriminatory practices within the organization

    • The organization stays relevant, by responding to evolving member and industry cultural  needs

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The core mission of the PBS Education Committee is to meet the PBS strategic direction of knowledge from the PBS Strategic Plan. Specifically, to facilitate the exchange of knowledge within the PBS community. The Education Committee will explore and develop membership programs and products in response to PBS membership needs and/or Board and Chapter requests, with support from staff. Projects will include

  • Planning of biennial conference
  • Scheduling webinars throughout the year
