Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine is in search of a reliable packaging operator to join our brewery team. This position is responsible for operating our high speed bottling and canning lines, as well as a keg line. A typical work day includes: loading, unloading, and moving pallets of raw materials and finished goods; inspecting packaged beer using strong observational skills at various stages of the respective lines; storing and organizing materials and work area; and working collaboratively with the other team members for efficient operations of a busy packaging area. We’ll teach you how to safely operate a forklift, too.
Our dedicated packaging team takes great pride in ensuring and maintaining a high level of quality at every stage of the packaging process. This job is physical in nature as you will be on your feet most of the day. In addition, you’ll need to be able to lift 60 lb. carton or bag. Flexibility for early or late shifts is required.
This is a full time (40-hour per week) position, Monday - Thursday 7:30a-6:00pm to start, with flexibility to move to 1st or 2nd shift within a year.
