Brewer Position - Cambridge, MA

Full Time Brewer Position

The primary role of the Brewer 1 is to work with the Brewmaster, Director of Production, and Brewer 2 to produce quality and consistent beers for taproom consumption and off-site distribution, as well as maintaining brewery cleanliness and organization. The Brewer 1 should have an excellent knowledge of beer and brewing, and a complete understanding of Lamplighter’s history, operations, policies, and procedures. As a production employee, the Brewer 1 must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and following OSHA-established safety protocol. Brewer 1 is the junior Brewer position at Lamplighter, the primary focus will be packaging and cellaring. Brewer 1 will progress to Brewer 2 after showing a full understanding and knowledge of all Production floor jobs and brewhouse wort production.

What We Teach You: All Lamplighter employees will be provided an introductory knowledge of coffee, beer and the brewing process, and a complete understanding of Lamplighter’s history, operations, policies and procedures. Brewers will also complete a forklift training and a crash course in operating our digital inventory management system.

2 years brewing industry experience required.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7a – 3p

Salary/Hourly Range: $52,000
